2019 Student Day

Introduce your students to the world of component manufacturing at BCMC 2019 in Columbus, Ohio!

Career opportunities abound in this $8+ billion industry. From designers to accountants, component builders to programmers, truck drivers to salespeople, there is a need for a wide variety of talent in component manufacturing.

Student Day at BCMC will begin at 1 pm with a guided tour of the exhibit floor by your local manufacturer. Students will see a wide variety of component manufacturing equipment and software demonstrations that highlight the technology and automation of an industry whose products are used in three-quarters of all residential construction. After the tour, students will reconvene for a Q&A session with local manufacturers, SBCA staff and young leaders in the industry. [Read more about past events: 2017 | 2018]

Groups are limited to five students* and one instructor per component manufacturer. Parents are also welcome to attend. *Must be full-time high school, technical school or college student not currently employed by a component manufacturer. Per BCMC policy, students must be at least 15 years old to be admitted onto the show floor and must be accompanied by an adult.
