2015 Kick-Off Presentation

Mark the official start of BCMC with a strong cup of coffee and a round of applause as we recognize this year’s industry award winners and celebrate the 2015 BCMC Build/Framing the American Dream project. Lieutenant General Willie J. Williams will introduce the deserving recipients of the two BCMC Build homes and deliver an inspiring presentation to kick off BCMC 2015.
Williams retired from the United States Marine Corps in 2013 after having commanded and served at every level supporting our nation’s tactical, operational and strategic objectives. Williams was commissioned into the officer ranks of the Marine Corps after earning his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1974. During his nearly 40-year career, he served in a wide range of logistics, supply chain, infrastructure, and leadership positions to include five commands and over thirteen years as a general officer. During his last active duty assignment (2009-2013), he served as the Chief of the Marine Corps Staff in Washington, DC.
His academic degrees include an MBA from National University, San Diego, a MS in Strategic Resources Management, Industrial College of the Armed Forces, National Defense University, a BA (Cum Laude) in Business Administration/Minor in Accounting from Stillman College, Tuscaloosa, AL.
Williams retired from active Marine Corps service in 2013 and now he and his wife of 42 years, the former Bobbie Woods, makes their home in a suburb of Huntsville, AL, where he serves as a consultant for a number of for-profit and non-profit organizations, including Operation FINALLY HOME.
