The following SBCA correspondence was sent via email today to all component manufacturers who serve Ohio markets:

As you are aware there has been push back and a bit of confusion over the use of unprotected floor trusses and the OH code change found in the Residential Code of Ohio (RCO) Section 502.15 (also known as section IRC 501.3). Used as written, this provides 2x10s a significant price advantage over all engineered products. Hence, SBCA is working very hard to get this fixed in a way that provides a fair playing field.
