BCMC Blog: Another BCMC is in the Books

Again this year during BCMC week, Jess Lohse, President of Rocky Mountain Truss Co. in Havre MT, provides day-to-day updates from the show.

Well, another BCMC is in the books. The day started early with the final offering of educational sessions at 8:00 a.m. After that, the show floor was open for a few hours, allowing attendees a chance to learn about equipment, services and new products available to our industry. It was great to see all the regular exhibitors and quite a few new ones too!

The floor was abuzz again with various events and the 3-point shoot-out. That's right, this year's BCMC show floor included a basketball hoop and a variety of competitive events including a free throw competition and a game of TRUSS, a popular spin off of the game HORSE. Hopefully we will be able to bring the hoop to North Carolina next year; I hear they play a little basketball in Blue Devil country.

After the show floor closed, the National Framers Council held an informational meeting and a forum for ideas and action items moving forward. The meeting was well attended, with 50+ audience members that included many framers, component manufactures and industry suppliers. And on a final note, I would like to thank all the attendees that made their way to San Antonio for the week. I look forward to seeing you in Charlotte next year!
