Framing of the 2015 BCMC Build homes began this week in Jackson, WI, a suburb of Milwaukee. BCMC Build has launched a new page on its website that provides live images from the jobsite. Be sure to check it out and track the progress of both homes over the next month leading up to the BCMC show, October 20-23. SBCA will be sending out more information in the next week regarding a special event surrounding the home being framed with structural building components.
Several SBCA Chapters have become heavily engaged in raising money for the BCMC Build and the Framing the American Dream (FAD) project as part of the Chapter Challenge. Click here to view how much each chapter has raised and its current standings in the competition. Currently, the SBCA of the Capital Area is in the lead both overall ($21,950) and average by member ($1,155). However, the Truss Manufacturers Association of Texas (TMAT) just had their charity golf outing this past week. Once their contribution is tallied, who knows which Chapter will lead the competition. It’s not too late, get involved today.
Thank you to everyone who has generously contributed to the BCMC Build project!
