The Structural Building Components Association (SBCA) is currently undertaking efforts to ensure the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), policymakers, members of the component manufacturing industry and the public clearly understand how component manufacturers (CM), their suppliers and their customers are harmed by the current softwood lumber trade dispute between the U.S. and Canada.

At right are SBCA’s observations regarding the Canadian softwood lumber trade dispute. Click on the image to view an easier-to-read version.

One important aspect of those efforts is reviewing all of the documentation available to the public related to the softwood lumber trade investigation being undertaken by the DOC and the International Trade Administration (ITA). For those that are interested in reviewing these documents themselves, users can register as a guest by following the steps below:

Step 1: Go to the following link: https://access.trade.gov/agreement.aspx?id=guest

Step 2: Click on “Accept” at the bottom of the page.

Step 3: Fil in the all the required fields as indicated in this screenshot.

Step 4: Once registered, type “A-122-857” or “C-122-858” in the search field to pull up documents related to these case numbers. Both numbers will yield similar results.
