Pure Safety Group (PSG) has released an immediate recall on Guardian Fall Protection and Web Device 3- Way Rescue and Retrieval Self-Retracting Lifeline (SRL) units. There have been no reported accidents or injuries related to this recall. This recall affects the following product: Guardian #10974 (50') and #10981 (65'), and Web Devices #0501312 (50'), #0651312 (65'), RDI-100-B, RDI-100-B/WW, RDI-100-B/WW SS, RDI-100BSS, and RDI-100 65WWK. Any and all custom or private-labeled 3-Way SRLs and 3-Way SRLs sold in Arc-O-Pod kits #s #20001, #20004 are also included in the recall.
Under certain circumstances, braking forces may cause gear misalignment, potentially resulting in diminished rescue/retrieval functionality. The safety of our end users is of utmost priority. All units manufactured prior to March 2019 should immediately be taken out of service.
