The National Framers Council’s COVID-19 Safety Training Resources page now includes a new FrameSAFE Toolbox Talk that is available for everyone to download and use with framing crews: COVID-19 Best Practices for Safer Jobsites. Like the other Toolbox Talks in the FrameSAFE library, this resource contains both English and Spanish in one document.

General jobsite safety toolbox talk

As you continue to prepare your employees and jobsites for the required safety measures to protect everyone from COVID-19, please keep the following in mind:

  • Hold safety meetings outdoors in small groups of less than ten.
  • Practice social distancing (at least six feet apart) and take attendance verbally for the supervisor to record. Do not use shared materials or pass a mobile device to record attendance.
  • If in-person training is not feasible, email or text a link to the Toolbox Talk to your employees and skilled subcontractors for review.
  • Post copies of the Toolbox Talk and other informational posters about COVID-19 safety best practices on your jobsites. A collection of poster resources can be downloaded here.

Last but not least, please reach out to NFC staff if there are other ways we can be supportive during this time. If you have a suggestion or idea to share with other framers as you navigate the COVID-19 outbreak while functioning as an essential business in your area, please take a moment to share it here.
