In this video, architect Steve Baczek goes on-site to discuss the benefits of site-built trusses, detailing their role in distributing the roof load and the aesthetic value they bring to a build. To be clear, these trusses were pre-cut in Canada, trucked to the site, then assembled. In the same video, he goes back to the classroom to discuss how site-built trusses can replace columns and how they resemble floor framing, walking us step-by-step through integrating them into construction plans.
