Parting Shots

Three months before its grand opening in June 2007, wall panels were installed in the Structural Building Components Research Institute (SBCRI) testing lab. They were later sheathed, blocking the view of the pine trees but creating controlled lab conditions for the roof, wall and floor assemblies undergoing testing.

Today, based on membership input, SBCA is developing plans for testing that will be conducted at SBCRI. Multi-ply girders, quality control and bracing are all issues high on members’ testing priority list. There is still time to weigh in! Take a minute to participate in this important member survey!
